Surprisingly good Italian food on the UES/midtown east
I went there with a Groupon (which unfortunately had expired) and was impressed by the quality of the food. We tried the grilled calamari, mozzarrella, mushroom fettucini and salmon. All were excellent.

Service was prompt (place was not very crowded)
Ambiance was nice - live piano at the front, white table cloth, elevated seating area in the back.

I would go back, especially if they did another groupon.

What a friendly neighborhood restaurant....the pianist, Albert with a twinkle in the eye is a talent with the ivories, from Gershwin, Cole Porter to Mahler, his repertoire is never ending ...Patrick at the bar is pure entertainment on his own, never leaves you hanging....and may even sing a tune now and then....now let's not forget the food.... the pizza is scrumptious, the pasta with the seafood is my favorite dish, especially when they have it with the lobster .MMMMM!!!
Friday night is the best night of the week!!!

Mostly, I like the fact that there is a sometimes a piano player, and though the ambiance isn't up to the "cool place" standards, it completely reminds me of Casablanca.

I LOVE this place. The food has always been good. I love the Tiramisu, martinis, and the gnocci is delish. I just find it to be very relaxing here.

A few people I dated didn't want to go here, because it wasn't "the cool place." Lame. But a couple guys were cool with it, and I've had very nice times there.

A lot of older people go here, which is refreshing and reminds me that when I'm 75, I can have an equally active social life. It's adorable to see these older couples on their date night.

I've also stumbled in late at night, jokingly insisting we get "drinks with the old people" and it was great. They all stared at bit like, "who are these people under 50?" but then they were welcoming and chatty. Several older people were having long conversations w/ me by the time my date came back from the bathroom.

The bartender, when I tried to pay for a round of drinks while my date was in the bathroom, refused my money, and basically said "he should pay, seriously," and I just found that to be pretty funny. I'm sure if I'd insisted he would have taken it. Or maybe not? Amusing.

The most recent time I went, I had a few delicious mixed drinks and martinis.

In any event, all around a place I've yet to have a bad experience at!

Have gone there 3 times. Tasteless food at its best. Do not like it at all .... Will not go back.
Very blend dressing, over salted tasteless clam linguine. Not good at all....
