Subway problems...so typical of weekends

ANYONE COMING TO NEW YORK should be aware they put off all the worst subway service disruptions for the weekends (and late at night)...in fact, the trains run slower and on what they call their "weekend schedule." You'd better check out the MTA's travel website if you are planning to take public transportation on a weekend visit.( Here, workmen of the closed express tracks on the Lexington Avenue IRT line in Manhattan on Sunday).
