Pinkberry--Kips Bay in this case, ( people have referred to Pinkberry so often when talking about other places)

Posted on 18:35 by Unknown
OK. at last we get to Pinkberry, which everyone seems to use as a yardstick when talking about frozen yogurt etc.

I am curious as to what this location gets in terms of reviews...it can differ from one location to another..

OK, people like it but one customer goes on a negative rant like nobody's business! Enough people give it the thumbs up though to run this..

Time for an update because the yogurt maker was freaking generous with the sample. Pinkberry just released their Greek yogurt line so I wanted to see what their version was like.  I was just expecting a little scoop of plain Greek yogurt. Nope. This Pinkberry artist made a mini scoop and proceeded to add a bunch of fruit, granola and honey drizzle. It seriously looked like a mini yogurt cup all dolled up.

My yogurt cup was really pretty  filled up too. Maybe our complaints about them being cheap and stingy is paying off! :D

    +1 for couple's night on Thursdays (9pm-11pm)

BOGO small yogurt + toppings. A little under $6 for two :)

I go here every Wednesday with my roommates! Say hi to Marvin! He's the nicest employee there and knows how to put a smile on any customer's face! (Actually, the entire staff is always cheerful and ready to serve!) My roomies and I always go near closing time so we occasionally get a free small pinkberry.

The staff works quickly and they never give the customers an attitude no matter how complicated their orders are.  I'm giving this Pinkberry a 4/5 because there are times when the yogurt taste different ....(but not in a bad way!).  I like my original flavored froyo to be tangy!

I love this place for Thursday night COUPLES NIGHT. Starting at 9pm they have buy one small, get one FREE.  How very thoughtful of them.  I do not know how anybody could pass up delicious FROYO even in these freezing cold temperatures.  You can't pass up their regular tart with their 30 or so topping options.  I think my favorite toppings are the almond roca and mochi.

I saw a lot of people saying they are "stingy" but honestly, why don't you just ask them to put more?  It's not like they will say no....and we do ask for more and they usually don't even grunt about it.  They barely notice after serving so many people so speak up and you will get what you want, happily.

there was about 3-5 employees but only one person was working the register and the yogurt at once. Which annoyed me a bit but once it was my turn to order i was okay, yogurt was amazing at the end of the day (as always).

I placed an order online at 828pm. I received my order however every single topping was wrong. I called the store and spoke to 2 employees- neither of which apologized for the inconvenience. The female employee told me i had the option of just taking the price of the toppings off my order or getting the toppings redelivered. I asked her to please redeliver my correct toppings. 45 minutes later they had not arrived so I called again and they said "the delivery man had just left"  Another 45 minutes later I called again as they STILL didnt arrive and it was now 1030pm. I am now left sitting waiting for a delivery man to wake me up to deliver toppings for frozen yogurt that I ordered almost 3 hours ago. EXTREMELY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. WILL NEVER GO TO A PINKBERRY AGAIN

Pinkberry has really great yogurt, I just wish it didn't cost so much.  The service is always good, the flavors always tasty, and it's always guaranteed to set you back at least $5 ;)

Service here is GREAT!  It's super clean, like all of the other Pinkberry's and this one is super close to my apartment!  Whenever we ordered the 25oz (largest size), they'd make sure to fill every single corner!  (you do this by lifting the container and dropping it from a short distance onto the counter... to bring the frozen yogurt into the small crevasses.  In other locations, they've left LARGE craters in the middle of the frozen yogurt... super disappointing!

Find your way here.  The lychee flavor is my favorite.  Too bad it's seasonal.  Same with the mango.  Seasonal.

In terms of toppings, i usually only get the mochi!  This is my favorite!  Sometimes i go the chocolate route.  Or the mango juice balls route.  But 99% of the time, I do mochi.

Very disappointed in the service and management here. As the line grew behind us the guy helping us called a woman from the back office to come to the front and help out. While they were both very friendly helping all the customers, no one was at the cash register. This made it very easy for a customer to Walk Out without paying! We were shocked to see no employees stop him. What pissed me off more was that the guy helping me ended up adding his tab to mine! I didn't realize until after leaving and counting my change. Never again.

I do love pinkberry, but just not this particular branch.  I came in here with a co-worker for a mid-day pick-me-up treat, only to be spoken down to and accused of "fraud"!??  I placed my order and everything was fine until I went to pay - I took out an old customer loyalty card that had a number of stamps on it so they would just add another on.  The cashier informed me that they don't take the cards anymore and that they "have an app for that now"... I say, "okay, can I have the card back because the pinkberry by my apartment still uses them"... she asks her cashier-co-worker and she responds "no, we can give you 20%off... since we don't use them we can't give it back to you".... Doing the quick math in my head, I'd much rather have a free $7 pinkberry from the one near my apartment rather than the measly $1.40 off, so I ask, "no, you can take the 20% back, I just want my card back."  She huffed, rolled her eyes, and made it the full price, the other cashier gave me my card back.... the end?  NOPE.  Apparently the girl was appalled that I refused her crappy customer service and went to tell her manager, at which point he came out and told me the same thing she had - that they use an app now, to which I replied, "yes, I know now and actually, the problem was resolved".... but he continues with, "Oh, and we can't give you the card back; we don't use the cards because of fraud... because people steal the stamps to get free yogurt"... ARE YOU KIDDING ME?  Does it look like I am out to steal yogurt?  If I was doing that, wouldn't I have just had the full 10 stamps and asked for a free one?  If I were to steal, would I be so stupid as to risk something so frivolous as frozen yogurt?  Customer service is certainly not their forte, and while I'm on that matter, neither is social etiquette.

I came here for frozen yogurt on a hot day over the summer. I got original with pieces of cheese cake. It was pretty good. The employees were also friendly and polite. In addition, I noticed that the establishment was quite clean. However, I think I am a bigger fan of Red Mango frozen yogurt because I like the taste better.

I broke my Pinkberry cherry on Friday night. I had never been inside a Pinkberry, much less eaten in one. But all that changed the other night, and now they have created a monster.

Since it was my first time here, I had no idea what to order. Based on previous walk-bys at the 32nd Street location, I thought that all they had was yogurt with fruit fillings. I had no idea that you could also get smoothies, or even yogurt with fillings that were not fruit. If I had known that, I would've gotten yogurt with Cocoa Puffs, because as everybody knows I'm cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs.  Instead I got the green tea smoothie, which in itself was still very delicious with some kick in it. I don't know what they put in it but it did help me stay awake on the drive home.

The location itself is very nice and very clean. Since it's a new store I guess thats why. I just love the chairs, which are clear and come in really funky colors like orange and green. And yes, they actually have enough space for people to sit down and eat. On a Friday night, no less, and we waited for only a minute or so before serving. And I love that my order was personalized, with my name right on the label. Awww.....

So yes, Pinkberry has made yet another convert. So much for my self-imposed embargo against them, I'll be back again.

I like my sugar, don't get me wrong.  I just don't like to be punched in the face by it.

Pinkberry's tart and excessively sweet taste is too much. Adding chocolate chips or Oreo cookies is adding insult to injury.  It is an interesting flavor, so maybe next time (yes, there will be one more try) I'll get fruit on top - and cross my fingers that I don't come out with a black eye.

I don't normally write reviews for chains like Pinkberry, but I'm making an exception due to the quality of the staff here. All of the servers were among the most upbeat, friendly, patient and sweet people I've ever met. They really reinforce the colorful and playful vibe that I Pinkberry's decor creates.

Yes, it's pricey for a post-dinner snack, but it's still so good (especially their seasonal peanut butter flavor)!
