Sat at the bar and the bartender Rebecca was FANTASTIC! Excellent concoctions. The Avacado-Ranch burger is fantastic!

    I'm definitely coming back!!

I've only been to 5 Napkin for the happy hour special but they keep changing their times from 3:30-6:30pm to 4-7pm. I came in at 3:45pm once and they turned me away "It doesn't start until 4pm.", they didn't suggest having a drink at the bar or offered a seat.

The food is absolutely great. I am surprised at how well they can do sushi and burgers. It is also a great deal, $2 sliders and $2 sushi hand rolls.

The service is terrible, the hostess and the waiters are rude. The hostess rolls her eyes when you say you're here for the happy hour. The waitress doesn't want to give you the happy hour menu, they immediately give you their regular menu when you sit down. You have to ask for the happy hour menu. Once you ask for the happy hour menu, the service and their attention to you declines immediately. If they are so disgusted by customers coming in for that, then why do they offer it?

If I were just rating this place for it's food, it would get 4 stars. But sadly, service is a huge factor and that is why I am only giving this place 2 stars.

If you come in, be prepared to be treated horribly.

Sat at the Bar and ordered from the Happy Hour Menu.
Among other things, we ordered the burger sliders.  They were good but instead of mayo, wished to have cheese instead.  But the prices for happy hour were not bad!

Overall, the food is OK if you're having a craving but it's not a place to go if you're looking for a "burger experience"

Great place with a large range of very good burgers (avocado is so good). A bit noisy.

The burgers here are huge. Most comes with 8oz. patties, fyi, that's half pound. They are priced around $13.95 (Classic cheese) -$16.95 (Ahi Tuna burger) and comes with side of fries. I ordered the avocado ranch, cooked medium. Maybe because of that, I did not use 5 napkins to devour their burger. For the record.

When it comes to burgers, I'm not a big fan and I only order them occasionally. Luckily for me I have tasted enough of other people's burger orders (I eat out with generous folks!) to have a comparison. My order's flavors didn't stand out albeit I like the sesame brioche roll.

The service was very polite but pushy. We were asked if we wanted something else to drink besides water more than twice. Got asked/suggested for appetizers at least 4 times.

Since the venue is on the corner of 14th street with 3rd. avenue, I would suggest for you to sit inside instead of the side walk tables. Not because of the pedestrians but for all the ambulances that pass by.

p.s. Their sweet potato fries are yum yum.
Listed in: 9 to Lunch to 5.

When I read a broad swath of Yelp reviews about a particular place, I look for a thread of a theme, but I always start with a clean slate when I walk in the door.

Why do businesses claim that they want and use social media to improve their product and service, yet, they fall short when the rubber hits the road?  Makes me feel like lip service.
(actually, like I'm getting lip service, but since these are mostly written reviews it's hard to use that term)

Another glaring example of that happened today.
After seated for a Saturday lunch, that wasn't overly crowded, it took the server about 5 minutes to even acknowledge we were even in our booth.   Even after I made I contact with the person and the wife and I played "guess who our server is" for the bulk of the time.

Simply, that should never happen, and would put most customers at ease if it didn't.

After that, the food and the follow up service really saved the day here.
An uneventful Caesar salad was ok, even though we couldn't get clarification on the price difference between a small and a large.

The saving platter here was the soft shell, chicken tacos, that were really, almost full size, not like those mini one's you get a designer-Mexican places.
Very tasty, full of chicken, lettuce, creame fresh, guacamole, with a nice side of chili sauce and slightly sweet coleslaw.  For about 13.50  that was enough to share (a little)  and really saved the day.

Overall, always very good, and good quality food, but roll the dice on the frustration factor.

Good meal. I had the bacon cheddar burger, and it was tasty. The place has a shockingly diverse menu, from burgers and salads to sushi.

I'm not really sure what I expected calamari from a burger place to taste like but it wasn't that (hint: bad). I do look forward to coming back and trying a burger.

Two words: greasy deliciousness. Definitely do not come here if you're looking for a nice hearty, healthy burger and salad. This is the place to go when you want to get down and dirty and dig into a juicy burger dripping with oil. Their side salads are pretty good , but the truffle fries are definitely better. The set up of the restaurant is pretty much like any casual dining restaurant and they have outside seating, which is nice minus the fact that you're on one of the busier streets of NYC. Service is pretty quick, which is good. My recommended burger is definitely their original burger which comes with a hefty dollop of garlicky aioli, so don't even think about making out with anyone afterwards.

Started with a blue American honey cocktail. It was alright. Nothing too fancy but satisfactory nonetheless. Then moved on to devolved eggs. Again ok.

I ordered the original napkin burger with fries and thought it was just alright. Definitely not the best or the worse. The fries weren't remarkable by any means. I'm sure I could have gotten a similar burger at a regular 5guys while paying a lot less.

I don't think ill be back considering there are better options with cheaper prices. Service was good though.

    1. Fantastic appetizers (fried pickle and pastrami/potato skins)
    2. Good fast service, she left us alone but stayed close and filled water constantly
    3. Fun atmosphere good for sports games and good place to go with the guys if you want great high class burgers
    4.  No wait time on a Friday night at 9pm
    5.   I'll definitely go here again The Lamb Burger was on point and so was every aspect of the dinning experience

I passed 5 Napkin Burger all the time. Checked out the menu, looked pretty interesting, nice variety of foods, but once I finally tried It I was a little disappointed.
Some friends and I stopped in for an appetizer and all three of us were unsatisfied with our food choices. My friend and I shared the chipotle chicken tacos which we didn't really care for what they consisted of or the tacos in general and my other friend ordered the stack of thick cut panko onion rings and she didn't care for the panko batter, I personally didn't mind them, I just ate the batter off the onion rings. There are a few other things I would still like to try off the menu so I might return when the time is right.

    I love 5 Napkin!

Come here if you want a stuff your face, burger experience, because not only will you consume a hamburger that's bigger than your mouth, but also they have SWEET POTATO FRIES. Yum.

The dangerous thing about this place is that 1) they deliver, and 2) the create your own burger. When I add avocado, bacon, etc etc plus the extra cost for sweet potato fries, I have easily spent $20 on a burger and fries. Ouch. But it's good. So so good.

Happy hour is also a really good deal here. Do it!
