Labor Day is finally here and there's plenty of ways to celebrate the unofficial end to summer. If you live in New York City you can enjoy parades, fairs, food and fun for you the whole family. Here's a round-up of activities throughout the city celebrating Labor Day:Like Us on Facebook
West Indian American Day CarnivalThe biggest event on the holiday is the West Indian American Day Parade, which runs Eastern Parkway in Brooklyn, and features West Indian music, dancing, food and thousands of masqueraders and spectators. This year, the annual parade will celebrate 46 years of Caribbean pride and culture.
Washington Square Outdoor Art Exhibit
This exhibit takes place at Washington Square East and features works from various artists under a range of categories, including Fine Arts, Graphics, Mixed Media, Sculpture, Photography, Metal Work and more.
According to the New York Post, the event will take place from Aug. 31 to Sept. 2 from noon to 6 p.m at University Pl. at 13th St to Schwartz Plaza at 3rd St.

The U.S. Open
Sports fans can watch the world's greatest tennis players like Serena Williams, Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray up close and personal at the U.S. Open. The event takes place through Sept. 9 at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center on College Point Blvd. in Queens.

Brazilian Day Festival
The Brazilian Day Festival is filled with great food, music and DNA. It is located on Sixth Ave between 42nd and 56th Sts, and 46th St between Madison and Seventh Aves, free. 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sun. Sept. 1.
