Helmut Lang

Posted on 17:56 by Unknown
Who is Helmut Lang? Something to do with fashion obviously.

Happy I got this poster because it lists several locations and I can go with the one that has enough reviews..

Mixed reviews, there are enough here to give you a good idea why

I'm a sucker for Helmut Lang. Victoria helped me today. She was really sweet and helpful. I wanted to purchase a pair of leather leggings, but the waistband didn't fit my big butt.

Its funny how differently people treat you when you are dressed head to toe in their designer clothes ;)

    I will be back soon!

I tend to not shop at high-end places, and obviously, for good reason.

Hey, if you have style, even Walmart can suffice. The clothes does not make the
wo(man), the wo(man) makes the clothes!

But, this review is a bit biased. For one, I only came here for FNO 2012.

What? There is a line to get in here? You must be kidding. And what? You only have Heineken Light in a can. Yes, I am judging you Helmut Lang.

Terrible music, terrible alcohol, way too many people and no ventilation. After half a drink, we were out of there.

But, hey if was nice to run into Clint H., so all is not lost...

What took me so long to write-up this place? I didn't want to give it all away, perhaps... But then I noticed there was no Yelp listing for their "new" store -- even though it's been about a year -- and I love being the first to review! The big and beautiful SoHo location closed, now they have a small intimate boutique in the Meat-Packing District.

The service is incredibly helpful, entrancingly maybe even bewitchingly so -- I have a fake-leather fake-fur-lined coat, a black wool pea-coat, a gray jacket, a black jacket, a tan linen jacket, a khaki dress-shirt, a gray dress-shirt, two pairs of jeans, a pair of brown corduroys, a pair of black dress-pants, a pair of gray moleskin pants...

I love how these clothes fit upon me, like a second-skin... Season come, season go, holiday-heft come, holiday-heft go... They're durable, they're fashionable, they're innovative, they're extremely well-crafted, they always illicit compliments whether dressed-up or dressed-down, but nothing is ever too garish or ostentatious.

Why is this place called Helmut Lang Journal? It's just Helmut Lang...am I missing something here?

I have always been a fan of his even after his departure - I love the simplicity of design and also I am not a huge colour person - so naturally,  I love the small range of muted colour palette of his collection.

I've been here a couple of times and I must say the store is huge and they don't overcrowd their massive store space with loads of inventory.

You never feel claustrophobic inside here.

JESUS CHRIST Helmut Lang, am I not your most loyal fan? Even after you went all room temperature water commercial? WHY can't you get it together? You've been doing the same silhouette for THREE seasons, not including the half seasons, which are even more bland and commercial. Pretty sure you're even using the same pattern for the jackets. If you want to lower your price point and just be a basics brand, let me know, because this is not popping.

I shop regularly at Helmut Lang/ Theory so I checked out the Soho store during FNO. It was the first store I went to and quickly bought a black FNO tee before I left. They are $25 and the woman confirmed the price when I handed her my credit card. I checked my online banking 3 days later like I always do and I was charged twice at $50. I have never called a credit card company to dispute a charge like this. Even though it is only an extra $25, I do not want to pay DOUBLE for a T-shirt. My credit card company put me through to the store and the intern said that in order for them to refund me, they would have to go through all their records and count all of their tees. Am I suppose to have faith in the fact that they keep an accurate inventory and their employees never make a mistake especially on a night like FNO when they are downing whiskey? I will update when I hear back from their manager...whenever that will be...
