People like it well enough, MOST,  VERY much, as usual some quibbles with this and that

Came here for a friend's birthday, and while the decor is nothing to write home about, the food was outstanding!

The appetizers were definitely the highlight.  We had an assortment of the flatbreads - which were fully-loaded with both ingredients and taste.  The bruschetta was simply fantastic, as were the fried calamari (crazy good spicy marinara).  For entree I had the lilnguine nero (black linguine with shrimp and arugula).  Though thoroughly stuffed by the time I even started, I still wished I had gotten a full portion instead of half - just loved the spicy sauce.

We had a table upstairs for a large group, which was more secluded and made for perhaps a different atmosphere than the dining room downstairs. The service was wonderful for us.

It's a bit out of the ways, but I'd definitely recommend a visit if in the area.

    Nice and convenient.
Not the greatest Italian restaurant that I have ever been to, but not the worst either.
Not too expensive and the wine list is just okay, but the restaurant cam through on a Sunday night when everything else in Turtle Bay was closed and we needed a 9pm dinner with friends from out of town.
Ambience in the back was a little less than romantic, but it'll do in a pinch.

3.5 stars. Just around the corner from where I live. While my fiance and his brother were out having their weekly bball session with the guys, I took my future mother in law and the brother's girlfriend out for a simple brunch/lunch date. Future mother in law was craving Italian, a cuisine I had never care for, so I just randomly picked a restaurant on our block and allowed her to satisfy her craving.

We were seated on the street table surrounded by hungover fratty boys. They were offering brunch prefix for 15.95 (entree + alcoholic drink + coffee/tea). We weren't particularly hungry since we attended a lavish wedding the night prior, so my future mother in law and the girlfriend each ordered a half portion pesto fettuccini and I asked for a seafood salad with dressing on the side. Shortly after placing our order, we were given complimentary whole wheat bread with olive oil. The bread was hearty and soft. If only they were warm, I would def overeat again. Our dishes came out shortly after, although from initial glance, the portion of the pasta was really small (well I think it's supposed to be appetizer portion), the 2 guests found themselves satisfied without being overly stuffed. They also expressed that the pasta and the pesto sauce were well made and quite tasty. one of the better ones they have had (in fact better than a few they had had on our Italy family trip last year!).  My salad was refreshing and well portioned. The only neg about my dish is that they didn't clean my squid well. They left the plastic-y parts in my salad where I feel like if a customer wasn't familiar with squid, he/she might actually think it's plastic and would had send the food back.

Overall,  an enjoyable dining experience. 3 lunches + 1 tea for $36 dollars tax and tip included. Not too bad for a NYC weekend light brunch.

Not a terrible option in the Midtown East area, a little pricey for the lack of ambiance and interior decor.

Excellent Italian small plates and food overall.  Service was great and very accommodating.  Came here with 6 people and got several double orders of the small plates--highlights for me were the caponata and clams--pizzettas, and pasta dishes. Great affordable bottles of montepulciano and a nice ambiance where you can hear one another.  We will definitely be back!

    Pretty good.
    Great location.
Had a Groupon otherwise, may not have gone.  Liked it despite the groupon.  Overpriced.  I mean the wines are reasonable but I had vegetable sides for 8$ each that were vegetables!  And they were not large.

Came in.  Very warm greeting.  Hosts and hostess very kind.  Asked to take our coats.  Used facilities.  Decent.

Server was Paolo.  He was nice.  What he didn't know, he was upfront.  No bullshitting.

Had mussels of course, sauteed rabe, brussels w pancetta and friend had lobster pasta w/wheat noodles (no thanks).  Everything was hot, fresh and tasty.  I had a few bad mussels but they were very hot and I don't think were sitting around.  I didn't complain.  I had enough food.  There was really nice thick bread and olives in olive oil- nice.

Wine was good and as said reasonably priced.

We were thanked for our visit on the way out which was nice.

Overall, I would not come again ONLY because for those prices I may head to a nicer place but I have no real complaints other than that!

Went with my girlfriend after a great review from her parents.  Because of their high rating, I was skeptical that it could live up to the hype - but it definitely did.  I would give it a 4.5 and a recommendation to others.

I think the rates are reasonable.  Without any discounts, we got 2 appetizers, 2 entrees, a dessert and a bottle of wine for under $100 pre-tip.

    Items Ordered:
Fried Calamari: standard, but had a nice spicy sauce
Bruschetta: Delicious, and i'm not a big fan to begin with
Jumbo Shrimp Risotto: Shrimp was amazing, risotto was tasty can get repetitive
Pescatore for two (for one): delicious, everything was perfect
    Nutella Pizza: Delicious

Waiter was nice and service timing was perfect, but it lacked that overall warm personable connection/service that would get a 5 star rating.

Came here for brunch one day. But ordered off the regular menu. Plus? Mimosa baby!!!

Ordered a smoked salmon sandwhich with side of salad. How healthy but satisfying.
This is not my first time having smoked salmon but it is as a sandwhich. I loved how the crunchiness of the bread they used (seems toasted but wasn't) with the simpleness of their sauce made the sandwhich really yummy.

My date ordered some fries. Omg. shoestring fries sprinkled with parsley bits.. DELISH. I kid you not. Especially when you have just a salad to compare?

    Will try other things soon.

Love our charming waitress. I need to stop going out so much and falling in love with these women.

So apparently there was a paternity test truck outside our window. Why go on the Muary Show when you can just test on the grimy streets of NYC? Awesome :)

    Nice brunch too.
They are doing major interior upgrades which I am excited about.

    Delicious.

Service was great. The oven steam clams were uniquely spiced! The Amalfi seafood salad was refreshing and delicious.

For dinner, we shared the Linguini Piscatore for two. It was huge! But very, very good. The sauce was great and all the fish was amazing. Huge portion, even shared. The waiter brought out bibs and even put them on us. It was a nice touch.

Atmosphere was cool. Not too fancy, not too casual. Nice place to go for some good food.

Was staying in NYC and needed a late night meal. Luckily this place was really close to my hotel and was able to walk.

Greaaaat staff! They were so friendly, even funny.

Really liked the menu too. A lot of appetizers, and a deal where you can get 2 for, or 3 for deals. Even the pasta, you can get half or whole portions pretty reasonably!
