Cosi- Broadway, Village

Posted on 18:09 by Unknown
This location for Cosi gets good reviews except for ( I don't know why I find this so funny but I do) one outraged customer who found a hair in the soup or whatever it was (literally) and was also bothered by a fly...

Well, I suppose if it had happened to me I would complain on Yelp too...otherwise  mostly good reviews

I love Cosi. Their bread is really one of a kind. Sometimes when i crave the bread I come in and just buy that alone. But when I'm not just buying the bread, i would always get the asian chicken salad, its so low in calories but so much delish-ness!
My boyfriend always go for the Pesto Chicken melt, that tastes amazing as well!

I don't really like their iced tea/raspberry iced tea tho, those are kind of tasteless.

i'm a fan of Cosi's.  Came here around 6pm on a Friday night to grab a quick bite before the movies.  Ordered 2 sandwiches.  Paid and wait.... and wait... and wait... and wait.....

15 mins later some the 2 people ahead of us started to complain about what's taking so long.  10 mins later we finally got our 2 sandwiches.

i don't get it!! why did it take so long to slap on some cold cuts and cheese onto some bread?

never will be coming here again !!

The Asian Salmon Salad is a sugar bomb. Who would think "chili lime vinaigrette" would taste like straight corn syrup? And it comes with a crumbled sesame candy bar on top. Yuck. I couldn't even finish it. I might order it again, but with dressing on the side and no "sesame crumble."

The flat bread is always great here, and the service is excellent. They bring your food to your table and clear your tray when you are done. All in all, it is average and I will be back once in a while, despite the gross salad experience. They have a lot of other good things on the menu.

This cosi is pretty good. It gets a lot of traffic, probably because it's at a great location, and while typically they're good at getting orders out quickly, there are times when I've had to wait for my food for quite a while.
If you're deciding between this cosi and the one on 8th street, definitely go for this one.

This place is located right off the south end of Union Square across the street from Regal's Union Square Stadium 14, near Forbidden Planet and Strand. That makes it the perfect spot to hang out and read something when you're waiting to catch a movie or just want to relax for a bit.

Cosi offers a lot of space and you can usually find a free table to have some coffee or a bite to eat. Food options are a variety of sandwiches, salad or pizzas. The latter is pretty enjoyable, probably mostly because of the nice pizza oven placed in plain sight in the middle of the restaurant. Salads look okay, but other reviewers have repeatedly pointed out that they received sub-par salads, so watch out.

In general, Cosi is a nice spot to get some rest when you're on the go. It's calm enough to read and there's a good chance to find a spot, even around lunch time. Food is okay, service is usually quick and friendly.

Mozzarella on my pizza was not melted and the tomato sauce not tasty. Overall the quality is too low for prices comparatively high.

Cosi is supposedly known for their sandwiches but I was enticed by their ad for a new thing called "Cosi Bowls." I ordered the the new pesto shrimp one and it was quite mediocre, but what was I expecting, a fancy Italian restaurant? All my friends got flatbread sandwiches and seemed to like them, so I'll be sticking to the sandwiches from now on. I also had a piece of flatbread and it was really good, as far as flatbread goes.

I don't eat fast food very often, so I was pleasantly surprised by my Cosi sandwich. I had the Bacon Turkey Cheddar Melt with spicy honey mustard, and it was delicious...just what I was looking for. I felt it was fairly priced too. I got the sandwich, chips, and a faux-margarita for a little under $10.

Only 3 stars because it's not anyplace I'd absolutely insist people try. It's good if you need fast food--the place was pretty clean, and the line moved quickly. But if you're in the Union Square area and want something fast and reasonably healthy, definitely try Cosi.

I've been a Cosi eater for years. I love this branch. It is the coziest! It's so spacious, wifi works well, food is great, and customer service is very accommodating and friendly. There have been times when I didn't like what I got and they changed it no problem. I've spent hours at a time here either studying or just working on my laptop and I was really comfortable and welcomed, and no one ever asked me to leave because I was done with my food. It is a great location.

As for the food I love the sig salad, the personal pan pizza, the tomato basil soup, all the sandwiches, their lattes, teas, smoothies, and desserts (they have a smores thing you can have brought to your table and you can make your own smores! Kind of AWESOME).

Came in with a friend of mine. It was actually my first time in a Cosi. I'd never been it's not that I never wanted to I just always walked by. The friend I was with tends to do things without a plan so we wandered around until I almost begged him to stop so we could eat. He chose here. I liked it the staff in the front took our orders pretty quickly and you can pretty much seat yourself so that's always nice.

I opted for a window view and we sat. The weirdest thing for me honestly is the whole "waiting for a dude to come serve you" I'd rather just pick up my food my damn self but what do I know hospitality isn't my thing. The space was ok and the guy who served us our food was cool pretty sly on the fact that he didn't see our number but i let it slide we all have bad days. Not sure I'd come back though. I had the Tuscan Pesto Chicken and it was filling yes but pretty freaking hard to eat because the bread was way hard. I'm assuming thats how they should be but for me I just can't after a few bites. Cool place just not my cup of tea.

I really love this place. I can seat and read there with a book by myself. I love the lounge area and that they have that pizza oven that feels a lot like a fire place. I really like large places with very high ceilings but where you can still feel cozy at the same time. The location is excellent too: 2 steps to the Stain Books, WholeFoods is around the corner and a Regal Theater is right across the street. They do have wifi but it may be spotty at times and not that fast, you may end up having to re-log in multiple times.

I just had a horrible experience at this Cosi location.
    1) I had a decent sized black hair on my sandwich
    2) I had an eyelash in my salad
    3) A fly was buzzing around my table
    4) The manager was completely rude and had zero sympathy, she didn't even apologize for the experience.

Cosi (any location) will not get my business going forward.
