Jackson Hole on Third Avenue Murray Hill

Posted on 17:22 by Unknown
As noted before, one of a bunch of bar/restaurants on East side of Third Avenue between 34th and 35th Streets... another one on corner of 35th just closed down recently.

Message I seem to get is that people LOVE LOVE LOVE the burgers here...not perfect but pretty good place people say

First time at THIS specific Jackson Hole location...not that much different than any other one I have been too whether on the Upper West Side or Upper East Side. Very good burgers that are a decent size, variety of toppings and how you want burgers not to mention other choices of junk food goodies...

Only thing that KIND OF got under my skin while I was at this one in particular is that the waitress that served me and my friend seemed like she was rushing us to give us the check despite it not being crowded in the restaurant at all. I don't know if she thought we were going to do a dine -and-dash (not my style) but I felt a little uncomfortable with that. Regardless though a nice spot to get a good burger in Kips Bay.

My colleague and I stumbled in drunk and starving.
We stumbled out holding our guts, wondering how we managed to eat our entire burgers.

So far as flavor goes, that's not why you go to Jacksole Hole. Here, it's all about quantity.
Their burgers taste fresh, but don't really seem to be seasoned much. But holy crap, as she once stated, they are colossal.

This place was recommended to me by a friend who said that the burgers were "change your life good." We happened to be nearby after visiting the Empire State Building, so we stopped in.

Totally chill place... The decor is very southern, like you're walking into an old saloon. Decidedly un-NYC for the area, and I loved it. Food was good. Texan Burger (do we always put eggs on burgers in Texas? Didn't think so) was cooked to order and huge as expected -- fine with a friend! Service was just OK... If you don't ask for a refill, don't expect one. We were seated and served quickly, though, and our made-to-order food came out in quite the timely manner. Was my life changed? No, but my belly was filled and my spirit refreshed, so that's good enough for me.

Probably one of the best places to get a burger in the city. Generous portions and fast service. I often go here with friends. The décor is interesting - very wild west!
You can usually tailor their menu to match your personal tastes. Highly recommended!

The burgers are big. Not bad but not great. I stopped in to get a burger to go after work and felt cheated - the burger cost more than the menu price. When asked the replied "that's the to go price". What a rip off - I should have just walked out.

THE BEST BURGERS IN NYC!! Whenever I 'm in the mood nothing beats Jackson Hole's Cheeseburgers. No ketchup, mustard or mayonnaise needed; its perfect just the way it comes!! I always order a milkshake too but can rarely finish it all ... You can't go wrong with these guys especially for delivery.

Bored, and tired of the same ole sushi-subway-deli run during my lunch break, I decided to pick a random place from Grub Hub to order from. And boy, am I glad I chose Jackson Hole. Their California Veggie sandwich (broccoli, mushrooms, onions, cheese-it is tastier than it sounds, I swear!) was toooo good to be true! Bonus points to the poor delivery guy I made travel from the East Side to the West side because I mixed up the address to the building I've worked in for months. My food was still hot when he got there. I shall continue making my coworkers cringe with jealousy every time lunch hour comes around!

I'm vegetarian, but love their fries and the portobello mushroom burger, but really, really, really can't stand their incessant inability to fullfill an order, any order, even an order printed for them by seamlessweb, correctly. Geezus, people, learn to read! Otherwise, good fries, nice portobello.

Jackson Hole has any type of burger you can imagine. I bet you could also create your own burger if you wanted to.

I had the bacon cheeseburger with mushrooms. It was average and a bit messy if you ask me. I didn't care for the fries.

Also, apparently, this is where Jen Aniston worked before she got famous. Watch out-maybe your waiter or waitress is America's new big movie star :)

If you like a lot of options, this place is for you. If you like a basic but amazing burger, I'd go somewhere.

The good part is that it's never crowded and there are a few locations so its easy.

I think I could live off of the burgers and the chili here!

I spent a month in NY helping with Hurricane Sandy and my hotel was in Midtown. Businesses were just coming back online when I got there so finding food was sort of like foraging in the jungle. It was an adventure. After about a week, I wound up on Jackson Hole's doorstep. I wasn't too sure about it. It was crowded and seemed to have a lot going on. But my coworkers wanted to go in so I was outnumbered.

Never have I been so happy to be outnumbered!

From the first bite of burger I was hooked! They are thick, juicy and piled high with whatever you want - so high stuff is falling off of them. And the price is VERY reasonable!

It really helped that my hotel was just about a block and a half away. It was also really nice that Pie Face is right there on the corner! But after having Jackson Hole's hot apple pie I really didn't need Pie Face.

Honestly, I went to Jackson Hole at least a couple of times a week. Usually I would get my order and take it back to my hotel room.

The service is fast and friendly and the food is AWESOME!!!!

Jackson Hole, in itself, is good enough reason to return to New York. Yep, planning a trip in the fall.

I'd like to start out this review by stating I am the real Tyler K, and the above post is an imposter.

Now, moving on to more pressing matters, my review. The burgers at Jackson Hole will certainly leave your stomach full but will leave your wallet yearning for more. While the burgers are large in size, they are extremely hard to handle and the less than fresh buns don't help the situation. The fries are decent, nothing special. The pickles are the best part of the experience, and boy do I love pickles.

Overall experience is not a bad one but nothing to brag about. Overpriced diner food.

This is my favorite place to get a real, homestyle burger. They pile up the toppings so high that the burger can't hold it all.

    I LOVE this place!

They also have great chili. I highly recommend this place. If you are in Midtown East you HAVE to stop by here. You owe it to yourself.

    Awesome meal.

They do have other items on their but I go for the burgers (plus they are about a block away from Pie Face - can I say that?).

I can sum this review up in three little words...
    Best. Burger. EVER.
