This place may again get the "older crowd" line, it would not surprise me..

Galveston, TXVery good lasagna. They made mine with four cheeses and eggplant. Would be five stars if there was a bit more sauce. Just my preference. Calamari was excellent. I'll be back. -

Elmhurst, NYI did not try their namesake, "lasagna" iterations at this restaurant, but this review is for the Sunday Brunch Menu.
I was here a few months ago to celebrate a friend's birthday. She had reserved a nice corner nook of the restaurant for about 10 to 15 guests. They were nice enough to let her bring some props and different sorts of decor items to jazz up the tables to fit her birthday theme. The service is friendly and approachable and I especially loved the interior of Lasagna. The restaurant's name isn't really an imaginative one, but the decor of the restaurant when you enter is so lovely, I was surprised at the aggregate 3-star rating on Yelp which I had seen a few days before the event. On decor alone, this is an elegant restaurant, very classy and comfortable, warm & inviting.
However, due to the brunch experience, I had to temper my excitement and bring the 4-star rating down to a 3. The food is simply not that great. I really wanted to like it, but the serving size is kind of small, and the menu is not quite worthy of the $12.95 pricetag (add an additional $9.95 for unlimited drinks - choice if mimosa, bloody mary, coffee, tea, etc).
I felt bad that a restaurant with so much potential was a bit of let down when it came to its food offerings. I'd definitely want to come back though, and try their famous lasagna, perhaps that might change my mind!-

Manhattan, NYCame here for lunch one day with my gf.
We ordered off their lunch special.
Disclaimer: My gf and I are going to Vegas. Hence we figured we just get a salad.
Waiter decides to bring out 4 pieces of heavenly garlic bread cooked 30 seconds shy of perfection with green parsely and basil bits on top.
So we spent the next 5 minutes arguing whether or not to consume half or one piece. Inner fatties.. both state OKAY. Just one piece. We came. We raved. We Loved.
Oh dear. Two more pieces left. Thanks for the torture.. Mr. waiter who didn't comprehend why we wanted him to take away the basket.. My gf takes the basket and moves it to the next table next to our table. Then I give her a puppy face and we argue for another 3 minutes to consume one. Then I said. NO. Too much work breaking one apart and then having another heartache.. so we have another piece each.

So you may ask.. why the story about the bread and all that detail?
Because the main course.. grilled chicken over a ceaser salad.. probably was the smallest salad and most unfulfilling salad ever. YES. it was good. But. I ate my salad in 3 minutes.. No wonder they serve bread with the salad. To justify the small factor of it. Thanks for the soup/side spring salad supplement.. but it barely made a dent in satisfaction. Will return.. and order 3 orders of salad to make it one full meal.. but not sure if I want to pay $36 for that salad... Hmm.. no wonder of all the tables down the block.. this one was most empty.
Increase your portions please. I don't mind paying more. I just want to leave satisfied? :) -

Three stars is about right for this place.
I took my friend to lunch here for his birthday. We started with bruschetta and salad. Both were just fine...nothing mind blowing. We did have to wait awhile for those. For entrees, he had sausage and onion lasagna and I had a pizza. He said the lasagna was okay. My pizza was okay.
Everything was just okay. Service was all right, they kept the water glasses filled but there was nothing memorable or exceptional about this place. It's solid Italian fare so if that's what you want, this should meet your needs. I doubt if I walked by it again that I'd even remember eating there, though.-

Manhattan, NYI'm surprised about all the low ratings for this neighborhood gem. I've been here multiple times and always enjoyed my meals. I love sitting outside, but be aware that the tables are near the sec avenue bus stop! I've had both the lasagnas and the chicken entrees and recommend both. The lasagnas are huge portions and could definitely be split between two people. I've tried and recommend the veal, primavera, mushroom, and spinach lasagnas. Last Friday I tried the grilled chicken over arugula and it was perfect. I've also ordered the balsamic chicken special which is equally good. The carafes of wine are also very generous, even a half carafe could provide almost 4 glasses. A little more expensive than what you'd expect for the entrees, but totally worth it. Will continue to go back! -

The sirloin lasagna was ok, fairly bland.
We had an appetizer combo: calamari was a bit chewy, mozza sticks were comparable to those you get out of a freezer at grocery store, eggplant parm was decent. -

Cute little neighborhood bistro, with authentic and freshly-prepared Italian dishes!
There are so many lasagna options, and though my friend opted for the Shrimp and Scallops Lasagna, I went for a more traditional Shrimp Scampi over linguine. We both loved our meals, as well as the shared Appetizer Medley plate (which came with mozzarella sticks, eggplant parm, and fried calamari).
The fresh and complementary garlic bread to start the meal was also perfect!
I would absolutely go back to Lasagna Ristorante! -

Chicago, ILShould be no surprise that lasagna dominates the menu here. They also had pastas, which again, were not gourmet but not bad. If you're looking for casual Italian in a sit-down environment, this works fine!
I will highlight their extensive vegetarian lasagna menu! I tried the eggplant lasagna.. -

Manhattan, NYBeen here a couple times for brunch and the food is OK, but they sure do bring the unlimited mimosas and what more can you really ask for?
You get unlimited DRANKS + an entree for around $20, which is pretty standard. Always a good time! One time I got the pancakes which were OK and another time I got the veggie fritatta which was also OK, but not amazing. I've decided that using all your stomach space for thick pancakes is probably not a good idea. Better save the space for mimosas.
Atmosphere is pretty nice. I went here with a HUGE party one time and they totally accommodated us, which was really nice. It's also fun to sit outside during the spring or the summer. And again, let me emphasize how they keep coming with the mimosas. A lot of places have like a two hour rule or whatever, but not here!
IDK if I'll be back because there are SO MANY brunch places to try, but you may want to consider this one if you have a large party and not too many picky eaters. -

Service was good. Not too packed for dinner on a Wednesday night. Atmosphere is cozy. Noise level is loud. Would possibly come back, but so many restaurants on 2nd. So glad we just happened upon this place!!! It was our first night in NY, and I was jonesing for some Italian food. We passed a few Asian food establishments, but nothing caught my eye quite like the idea of a restaurant serving multiple types of lasagna!
Their bread was insane....went through at least two baskets of that with our delicious red wine that our waiter selected for us.
We decided to split some mussels because they sounded amazing, and we weren't wrong....they were perfectly done and the bread sopped up the leftover juice like it was its job.
We also split the original lasagna which was enough food for at least three people.
Everything was delicious....the restaurant is small and cozy....perfect for an intimate date night. I was very impressed with the service, too. There were multiple people keeping their eyes on the place to make sure you never waited long for a refill or whatever you might need.
I wish I could go back and try some of the ravioli! -

Flushing, NYCame here with my best friend after wandering around 2nd ave and 3rd ave to see what's good to eat, and I'm glad we picked this restaurant! Originally we were going to go Sofia's wine bar, but it was way too crowded and I know we wouldn't be able to sit or hear each other. I love the garlic bread they served before our meal! We also got a bottle of their white zinfandel, which was so delicious (I love sweet, fruity white wines). I got the hot & spicy penne ala vodka, which had just enough of a spice kick to it to make ordinary penne ala vodka into something super yummy! It was a good choice. My bestie got the spinach salad and she said it was good too.
The waiter was very accommodating refilling our water glasses and wine glasses. We were there for dinner around 6:30pm on a Thursday and were seated immediately. There were a few people in the restaurant when we arrived, but later into our dinner I was surprised how full the restaurant got.
